Children: Complimentary and Alternative Medicine

If you are using alternative medicines, such as vitamins, herbs, or holistic medicines. It's important that you guard these just as you would Prescription drugs. Children will be just as curious about Vitamins as they might be a Prescription drug bottle. Therefore, as responsible parents we must keep these products out of sight and out of mind of little one's.

If you have your children on any vitamins or herbs. Be sure and tell your Doctor all supplemets your child takes. It's important your doctor have a clear picture of what your child is taking. Even when it's a natural supplement. Also make sure any alternative supplement or herb is discussed with your childs doctor to make sure your child's body will accept and tollerated certain things.

Before giving your child any form of alternative medicine. Make sure your child has been properly diagnosed with that which you intend to treat. That your Profesional Health Care Provider knows what your child is taking a particular vitamin, mineral or herb to avoid any possible drug interaction. Even natural supplements, be sure you advise your childs doctor.

If you are pregnant we recomend you tell your OB/GYN any and all supplements, natural remedies or herbs you may be taking.

Always discuss with your doctor any product you are going to allow your child to take. Natural or otherwise.
